Case Study I

Strategic evaluation

A large manufacturing family office sought our evaluation of equity & debt market recommendations. We identified business opportunities that better aligned with their expertise than traditional investments.

Leveraged network & associates

We engaged with senior management at multiple companies to explore tailored franchising opportunities.

High returns

These efforts led to alternate opportunities including an OLB overseas hotel project, a jewelry franchise, and a fashion franchise, resulting in offers with IRRs exceeding 25%.

Case Study II

Strategic evaluation

A client who once ran a leading Ayurveda Hospital and manufacturing facility became an NPA due to imprudent financial decisions. Assets were on the verge of being seized.

Creative solutions

Contrary to conventional wisdom of investing,  we arranged for alternative funding lines from a private office that got him out of the NPA tag and then brought in a restructured financial solution that set him back on track.

Business as usual

The promoter retains all assets and yet continues to run a successful manufacturing facility for ayurvedic products and a hospital that is known for certain specific ayurvedic cures connected with orthopaedics.

Case Study III

The challenge

The client sought a letter of credit for a large metal trade between Africa and India. Strict LC regulations, a new business line, high deal value, and unfamiliar African markets required full-value collateral instead of a margin — posing significant financing and structuring challenges for the transaction.

Leveraged network & associates

Via the establishment of an international trading office, we were able to arrange for an international trade finance  partner who not just certified the seller but also provided the LC against the entire value against the goods being shipped.

Regular business

The LC was issued for the full $6 million shipment value without collateral, enabling seamless trade completion and expanding the client’s global trading and export finance footprint.

Case Study IV WIP

Strategic evaluation

A leading business house engaged in an overseas manufacturing opportunity ran into troubled waters due to the troubled geography it was operating in, currency restraints and global commodity prices. The business operates 100% capacity and is EBIT positive but has a mounting cost of debt, a solution for which was being sought by the company through many advisors. 

Leveraged network & associates in a focussed geography

Our innovative premise - We had to focus on institutions that were located or had an interest in that geography. Moreover, we very quickly realised that traditional debt substitution routes were not workable. Entities  that we approached needed to have a strategic interest in investing in this geography besides making commercial sense.

High returns

Alternative long term and short term financing options from very respected private offices were sought and an LOI obtained to infuse Private Equity to establish comfort with lending institutions and on the back of which lenders also agreed to an LOI to substitute debt and provide additional working capital lines. These institutions are also assisting in non fund based services including currency swaps to ease operating in this geography
